Mike Holmes, everyone’s favourite contractor, is best known for saving homeowners from terrible renovation jobs on his TV show Holmes on Homes, but when it comes to his own home, Holmes’ castle is his backyard! That’s where we gather with three portrait artists for a sitting with Mike, poolside. And tough guy Mike opens up and shows that there’s a lot more on his mind that dry rot and mold. When it comes to his “make it right” motto, he’s got his eye on the big picture, and the sky’s the limit. Mike Holmes is known as Canada’s Most Trusted Contractor and the man whose mission is to "Make it Right." He is the host and creator of Holmes on Homes and host of Holmes in New Orleans, where ‘eco-­‐friendly’ home building was demonstrated. Mike is also an author of two national bestselling books and his magazine, Holmes, is on newsstands across North America. As well as launching The Holmes Foundation, he is also the national spokesperson for Skills Canada and for World Skills 2009.
